This week we held the first in a series of virtual meetings in response to the current challenges as we work our way through lockdown, Christmas and Brexit; it was great to see 20 participants from 15 companies involved in the discussion and thank you to Paul Walters, Brexit expert from Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for his valuable insights and contributions.
The first meeting covered issues such as such as dealing with Trading Terms, Labelling compliance, GEFS, ROI and NI exports, Heat treated pallets and sharing recommended approaches where there is clarity.
A number of issues remain unclear or changeable and we will be sharing the impact of any changes and the best practice approaches to handling or mitigating the challenges, over the coming weeks.
We will also be preparing checklists to help you ensure your 3PL partners and agents are prepared and, perhaps most importantly, we will continue to explore the key challenges and answer participants' questions, with the help of our customs and supply chain experts, to help get prepared for Dec 31st.
